The 22nd International Women Tennis Tournament Bella Cup’s eliminations on MOSIR’s courts in Touń are over.

Eight players will join this year’s Bella Cup contestants. Unfortunately, none of Poland’s representatives have made it through. Weronika Jasmina Foryś earned the highest position among the polish players. After over three-hour match, she lost with Belarusian Darya Chernetsova 3:6 6:4 4:6. In the main tournament we will also see Czech Tereza Kolarova, Lenka Kuncikova, Barbora Mikhlova and Karolina Stuchla, together with Lahey Ashley from United States, Marina Kolb from Ukraine and Valeria Savinykh representing Russia.

First round of singles and doubles will begin on Tuesday morning, on courts at Przy Skarpie 4 in Toruń. Witch number 6, Russian Valentyna Ivakhnenko will play against the Poland’s biggest hope – Maja Chwalińska, who is one of this year’s wild cards. Especially for the fans to make it on time to see that exciting duel, match will take place at 4 pm. Earlier that day, we are going to see Justyna Jegiołka and representing Spain seeded number 4, Paula Badosa Gibert (245 WTA).

We have to wait till Wednesday to see Katarzyna Kawa and Magdalena Fręch in Bella Cup’s singles. They are in the same quarter of the tournament’s schedule, which means that they can face each other on the court already in the second round. On Wednesday, Katarzyna (298 WTA), seeded number 8, will play against Kristina Schmiedlova from Slovakia.  Magdalena Fręch (461 WTA) will compete with Russian Maria Marfutina (359 WTA).
