Friday’s matches of 23rd International Women’s Tennis Tournament Bella Cup 2017 began after the 3 PM. The reason for the delay was the rain.

The last two matches of the second round were played on the central court. To the quarter-finals were promoted: Slovakian Lenka Jurikov’s, who had previously eliminated the tournament number one, Sofia Shapatava and Sarah Rebecca Sekulic from Germany.

Quarter-finals with Poles, Magdalena Fręch and Maja Chwalińska, as well as semi-finals are scheduled for Saturday.

In the hall of the tennis center of the Toruń’s MOSiR, the last quarterfinal of the doubles draw was played. Polish couple Maja Chwalińska / Anna Hertel competed with Czechs, Miriam Kolodziejova and Jesica Maleckova. Polish team in the „super tie-break” had a match ball, but in the end, the Czechs triumphed 6: 3, 2: 6, 14:12.

The semi-finals were played almost simultaneously, as one pair decided to play in the hall and the other on the central court.
Under the roof, Vera Lapko (Belarus) and Anna Morgina (Russia) beat 6: 3, 6: 4 Ksenia Palkina (Kyrgyzstan) and Sofia Shapatava (Georgia). Miriam Kolodziejova and Jesika Maleckova from the Czech Republic turned out better in the central court. They beat the Naiktha Bains (Australia) / Jessica Wacnik (USA) 6: 1, 6: 1.
 
The final doubles game match will be held on Saturday. Sunday is the finale of the single.
