We know the contenders seeded in the Bella Cup 2018 tournament. First position was assigned to Barbora Krejcikova, representing Czech Republic.

On the 24th International Women’s Tennis Tournament Bella Cup 2018 official press conference, we learned more about the contenders of the upcoming event. Amongst eight seeded players, we will see representatives from Czech Republic, Slovakia, Ukraine, Australia, Russia and Italy.

Seeded with the highest position is the 22 years old Barbora Krejcikova. Czech player, who placed 200th in the world’s ranking. She has got some great memories connected with the courts in Toruń. She triumphed in 2014, winning over Greek Marię Sakkari 6:4, 6:1.
This year she has won the French Open double tournament. Paired with another Czech player, Katerina Siniakova, she triumphed over the Japanese duo: Eri Hozumi / Makoto Ninomiya 6:3, 6:3.

I think, that those eight players and our Polish contenders, who have received wild cards this year, will show all of us on the courts in Toruń what is the best and most interesting in tennis.

Wild cards to the main tournament were given to Maja Chwalińska, Stefania Rogozińska-Dzik and Katarzyna Kawa. Fourth wild card will belong to the Polish champion, revealed on 23 June.
For Maja Chwalińska, who reached singles quarterfinals last year, it will be the third Bella Cup tournament in a row.

I am very happy to be joining Bella Cup tournament for the third time. I can not believe how fast the time goes by. In here I have won my first professional tenis match. This tournament will always have a special place in my heart. I hope, that this year I will be able to stay in the game all the way to the final.

Main tournament will begin on Tuesday. First qualification games start on Sunday.
