Bella Cup is getting closer. Second press conference behind us.

Maja Chwalińska and Marcelina Podlińska are this year’s Bella Cup wild cards. Maja Chwalińska is Poland’s champion in singles under 16 and mixed doubles teamed with Wojciech Marek. Marcelina Podlińska earned her second place in Polish Championships under 18 just few days ago. Those two young (15 and 17 years old) players got their wild cards and will be joining other contestants in Bella Cup’s main tournament. It was announced at the tournament’s press conference. ‘My main goal is to show the best side of me and my skills. It’s not about the place, it’s about the best game possible.’ – said Marcelina Podlińska.

In the main tournament, we will also see Magdalena Fręch (another wild card), Katarzyna Kawa and this week’s Polish Seniors Championships winner. ‘Those are the contestants worth betting on. We want to see more smaller tournaments, where young players could earn their first ranking points, and For Bella Cup to be the one that crowns their work’ – vice-president of the Polish Tennis Association, Jerzy Hertel. Two players representing Kuyavian-Pomeranian region, Julia Oczachowska and Natalia Komar, qualified for the elimination tournament.

With 175 th ranking place, Bulgarian Isabella Shinikova is opening the current list of contestants for the main tournament. 22 nd International Women’s Tennis Tournament Bella Cup starts this Sunday.
